Business Opportunities in Germany

The event on 29th March is organised jointly by the Santiago de Compostela Chamber of Commerce and Lufthansa to commemorate the new flights that will be going into service this month from the airport in Santiago. With ITC as one of the leading speakers, the aim is to provide Galician SMEs with analysis of the German market and to highlight industries of especial interest in Germany.

 At 12:15 p.m., Cristina Danón, Consulting Partner at International Team Consulting (ITC) will give a Master Class on: “Sales Channels and the Search for Sales Agents and Partners in Germany”.

 Starting at 10 a.m., the meeting will be held in the NH Collection Hotel in Santiago de Compostela. Amongst those attending will be the General Manager of Lufthansa for Spain and Portugal, Mr Carsten Hoffmann, and Mr Jesús Asorey, President of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce.

Following on from the welcome, the General Manager of the German Chamber of Commerce in Spain, Mr Walter von Plattenberg,  will give a talk on: “Trade Relations between Spain and Germany: Business Opportunities”.

Exporting to Germany: A Round Table – How to Export to Germany Successfully?

On 22nd April last Cequip (a Packaging Cluster) and Centrem organised a round table called “How to Export to Germany Successfully” at the Centre Metal·lúrgic in Sabadell. 

Participating companies were welcomed by the Director of International Promotion of Plametall, Mr Josep Mª Campanera and were encouraged to share their experiences in overseas trade.

A Consultant from International Team Consulting, Ms Júlia Farré, highlighted the key points to be kept in mind to ensure successful consolidation of overseas sales, the elements to be considered when exporting and how to appraise the exportable value of a product or service, how to select target countries/markets, to choose the ideal channel through which to export and how to search for, short list and manage sales agents and distributors.

The participating companies specialised in the integration and implantation of engineering design, calculation and simulation software and technology. The manufacturing processes covered: casting; plastic injection; welding; forging; chemical compounding; corrugated cardboard; packing and cardboard boxes; manufacture of coffee-making machines; high-quality self-adhesive labels; sleeves and other packaging; leading providers of technology and manufacture of turnkey plants for meat processing; etc.

Exporting to France: Seminar – “How to sell in France”

Secartys organises a seminar on how to export to France

On 12th April, ITC took part in in a seminar: FRENCH BREAKFAST, HOW TO SELL IN THE FRENCH MARKET”. The round table was organised by SECARTYS, the Spanish Association for the internationalisation and innovation of the Spanish Electronics, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Software, Electronic Games and Entertainment Industries.

Several experts took part in the seminar, amongst them Ms Júlia Farré, an expert in internationalisation and managing consultant in ITC. She provided attendees with detailed information on internationalisation processes in France, this included keys to resolving problems that can arise in these projects as well as on the aid available, useful platforms and practical examples of success and failure.

The seminar was a great success as witnessed by the large number of participants who shared experiences and posed questions which were answered by the assembled experts. What shouldn’t we do in France? What are agents/distributors in France looking for? How is France so competitive? Is French really an important language?

ITC at the Círculo de Negocios de Galicia’s Breakfasts: International Means of Payment

The team of ITC Consultants in Galicia offers, amongst other services, internationalisation and trade development for those companies wishing to start exporting.

When working in an international environment, do we always know the best method of payment for each situation and occasion?

On 11th June, Cristina Danón, Partner and Consultant at International Team Consulting took part in a breakfast entitled: “Seminary: International Methods of Payment” which was organised by the Círculo de Negocios de Galicia.

The event is aimed at those managers, businessmen, company directors, freelance professionals and consultants to whom the following subjects may be of interest:

  • The main ways in which exports are paid.
  • The principal methods of payment; geographical perspective.
  • Documentary credit and when to use it. Advantages, disadvantages and inner workings.
  • CAD and when to use it. Advantages, disadvantages and inner workings.
  • Export Insurance. Inner workings.

The seminary is organised within the cycle of Breakfasts at the Circle, which is promoted by the Círculo de Negocios de Galicia which is designed to start the day talking about business in general over a coffee. The programme covers many different areas of interest: from networking, through the presentation of companies, products and entrepreneurs up to the learning of English for business.
