Brazilian Buyers Welcome Spanish Companies
Under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce in La Rioja, International Team Consulting organised a trade mission to Brazil from 4th to 8th November. Spanish companies from diverse industries (food producers, a wine cellar, personal protective equipment and graphic inks) visited distributors, agents, end-users and importers in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
International Team Consulting have been active in the Brazilian market for many years and work with the Chamber organising structured visits tailored to the needs of the individual company.
Brazil is one of the 10 largest economies in the world and has been growing steadily for more than a decade. This South American giant is a land of many opportunities for European companies as a result of, amongst others, the forthcoming sporting events.
In themselves these represent a huge upheaval in the basic logistics of the country and will stimulate growth in all sectors even remotely connected to this renewal. Most Brazilian demand is to be found in raw materials and intermediate goods which accounted for 45% of imports in 2011. Specifically the goods most in demand were: agricultural raw materials; construction materials; animal feed; non-food farming products; parts and accessories for transport equipment; food produce; chemicals and pharmaceuticals; minerals and semi-manufactured goods.
Seminar Brasil-Rubi by Video Conference
There are no distances ITC cannot overcome. Proof of that was the success of the seminar given by video conference by the Director of the branch in São Paulo, Brazil, Tais Renck, to the twenty participants that attended it in the Center of I+D+I of CECOT-Rubi, in Barcelona.
Also, present in the event Júlia Farré and Julio Vicini, consultants of ITC HQ in Barcelona, organized and contributed from here for the success of the seminar. A meeting room and a computer connected to wi-fi were enough to shrink the transatlantic distances and to allow Mrs. Renck to explain in detail the current outlook in Brazil to those companies which wish to have access to this market.
The objective of this meeting was to go over the main points of the exporting process to Brazil, and to clarify how to make the seeds planted here become the fruits harvested there. The participants of the seminar interacted with questions and comments directed to Mrs. Renck and to the consultants, Mr. Vicini and Ms. Farré. It was an absolute success promoted by International Team Consulting Team.
