Pilar Puértolas, managing director of Sanmy, a Spanish leading producer of soft drinks, was interviewed last November concerning its experience with the programme France à La Carte, a one-year programme that supports companies to open or boost sales in France.
During 2011, our team of native French consultants have translated promotional and technical documents into French, created data bases of potential partners and clients, contacted such companies directly, followed the contacts, organised trips to visit potential clients and followed budgets and orders, amongst other export sales tasks. The programme has also included training in exports and advice on strategy, agreements and negotiation in France.
SANMY has opened four new customers during 2011 and, as the managing director claims: “ I am certain that this programme is an excellent tool for SMEs that cannot currently afford to have an export department, but still wish to diversify their sales into different international markets”.
Sanmy has 33 employees, a production capacity of 50 million litters and a turnover of 5.5MEUR.
